My name is Mrs Armstrong.  Our assistants are Mrs Elkin and Mrs McNeilly. We are very much looking forward to the year ahead with our class.  We hope this page provides a ‘window’ into life in our classroom as we progress through our learning journey together.  We hope to develop new skills, independence, curiosity and a love of learning and that we will have lots of fun along the way! 

We are learning to work and play together, sharing and taking turns with our toys.  Lots of our play helps us develop our fine motor skills.  We need our fingers to be able to do lots of tiny movements and these will help us with our pencil skills and writing too.

We have been sorting.  We can sort for colour and category.

Exploring numicon and learning about how numbers look. This way we can physically see what a 3,5 or 8 looks like!

We talked about the rules we would like to have in our class to make it a happy place. We came up with some great ideas and Mrs Armstrong drew pictures of these on the board.
